When attempting to signup for a subscription with Shivtr, you are redirected to Paypal's secure site to then provide your payment details and confirm your payment; after doing so, we have had a few users report Paypal throwing up an error stating:


While most payments go through without issue, we have had a few users encounter this error so we spoke to Paypal.  What they say may be occurring is the payment is being blocked by their automated Risk Assessment System.  Payments can be blocked by their Risk Assessment for a variety of reasons, such as if you are traveling and logging into Paypal from a new location, being in a different city, using a new credit card, etc. If you do run into this issue, the easiest alternative is to instead do a One Time Payment:

One Time Payments

If you login to your Site Admin -> Plans & Billing tab, you can click the link "Prefer One Time Payments?" below the top table to switch to the Manage One Time Payments view:




From here you can choose to make a One Time Payment for your site, and specify the Pay Period from the dropdown (which can be 1m, 3m, 6m or 12m - where longer pay periods receive discounts), then click the Buy button.

After the One Time Payment is made you will be redirected back to your Site Admin where you can return to the Plans & Billing page and should see the Plan you paid for highlighted as shown in the image above, along with a notice showing when your One Time Payment expires, so you know when you need to make another one.
